Proxies

A proxy (also known as a "proxy server") is a server that acts as an intermediary between an endpoint device (such as a computer or smartphone) and the internet.

Essentially, proxies are used to make Nike or other websites think there is a different person behind each proxy/ IP.

When you visit a website, your computer typically communicates directly with the server hosting the website. However, when you use a proxy, that server forwards your request to the website and sends you back the response. This hides your own IP address (the address assigned to your computer on the internet) because the website only sees the IP address of the proxy server.
